Swollen lymph node

i went to the gyno for the first tome today. My doctor told me everything looked really good and healthy. I expressed concern because i have a swollen lymph node in my groin that ive had for years its never changed size but it hurts every now and then. not a sharp pain either just a throb every now and then near ovulation or my period. She told me because i dont have any other swollen lymphs and i have no infections its nothing to worry about but im still just uneasy. has anyone else dealt with anything like this?
