hey, I'm 18 and have never had this happen. to me before. About a month ago I had some really fast swelling In my groin. area from a lymph node accompanied by pain cause it was very tender. the node was squishy and moveable when it was swollen and tender, but now it semi went down and it's hard and still enlarged, and wont budge at all, I also have a slight pain. in the area above where the lymph node was. I dont feel any lump where the pain is but it's all very weird to me and I'm not sure what's going on, I want to go to the doctor but I'm also scared of what they might tell me. does anyone have any thoughts on what this could be or if its serious enough for a doctor.

A swollen lymph node in the groin usually means an infection somewhere in that area, but you really need to see a doctor for any swollen lymph node.

I went to the doctor about 2 to 3 weeks ago and they gave me two antibiotics, incase I had any infections. but my testing came back negative and it didnt go away until about a week after taking the antibiotics. the lymph node itself doesn't hurt anymore but there's something right above it in my lower abdomen that does. but I do have an appointment set up for monday so when i figure what's wrong i post an update
