Swollen sensitive clit problem

Hi, I've been having a problem for about five days to a week now. I didn't notice in the beginning as I didn't feel or see anything unusual but now I'm in a alot of pain. On the top of clit hood I have a swollen, reddish lump that's gotten bigger during the day yesterday and has been swelling probably everyday. I don't know what it is as I've never had it before, I'm 24 and I know it's not an STD/STI i went And she says i  dont clean my hood properly and gave me cream with lidocaine and told me to rub monistat on top and it’ll go away well that was a month ago and I’m still having the problem. Also, along the left labia I noticed it's really swollen also but it doesn't hurt until it reaches the clit hood. The hood is swollen so badly that I can't see my clit without really stretching, which hurts. My left is primarily the issue side and as of this moment it burns. Also there’s a reoccurring tiny like cut on the left side of the hood...I can't walk, sit , sleep or move at all without going through a moment of pain first and I can only sleep on my back.

My heart goes out to you. Even with a tiny cut or spot in that area the pain is magnified many times. First of all I have never heard about cleaning the hood. In fact all the recommendations I’ve read are not to clean that area at all, just to rinse with water. Use no soaps or body washes or even washes designed for that area- even they contain perfume which upsets the ph balance and encourages yeast or bacterial infections. I clean that area with pure, cold pressed, organic, virgin Coconut oil which has anti inflammatory, anti bacterial and anti fungal properties.

secondly, it sounds like you have some kind of infection. Lidocaine is just a topical anaesthetic for the pain and monistat is an antifungal. But what if what you have is bacterial? You need something stronger. When I had infected cuts on my vulva my GP gave me trimovate which is anti fungal and antibacterial and contains hydrocortisone for the inflammation. That did the trick within a few days. Whenever I got a spot on my outer labia (probably from shaving) I’d just used the trimovate and it would go down after a few days.

First of all, you refer to a "she" so I assume you mean a doctor. Don't know if it was a General Practitioner or a GYN but there should have been some follow-up if you did not show signs of improvement.

Make an appt. with a GYN and in the meantime, look keywords up on your computer so when you see the doctor you will know what questions to ask.

You should not be in pain. Make an appt. Take control of the situation.

    Hope this helps.
