Swollen stomach?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I've been gluten free for about 3 months now. But whenever I eat my upper abdomen is still swollen, it feels hard but it doesn't hurt. I can press on it and it doesn't hurt just swollen. Which is worrying me.

Have you still got plenty of fibre in your diet? Though you need to know your stomach will get bigger after you have just eaten... you have just added a load of food and it has got to go somewhere! As long as it goes down in a couple of hours I wouldn't worry.

It sounds normal to me hun, we all have bigger stomachs just after we eat. If you are worried speak to your gp.

Eating too fast and not chewing your food throughly can cause it, because you swallow air. Certain foods can make you bloated. So can gastritis. Maybe the acid from the fruit is irritating your stomach.
