Swollen toe

Hi,

I went swimming in the sea a couple of days ago and I scrapped my foot on what I thought was a rock (which has left a very small scar, like it has been pricked with a pin) but 5 minutes later my foot was in agony and I couldn't even walk on it. This lasted about 40 minutes and then it passed. I don't experience the pain as much any more but I've got a lot of swelling. Any ideas what it could be? People have mentioned it may be a jellyfish sting but I'm worried something may be lodged in my toe.

Thank you in advance
