Swollen tonsils

End of October beginning of November 2017 my tonsils became swollen, I went to the doctor got some phenoxymethylpenicillin, it stopped then came back a couple weeks later, had some amoxicillin. I’ve been back another 5 or so times since then and seen a ENT specialist who said to keep going to the doctor. I’m worried that my tonislits or whatever is bothering me has become antibiotic resistant, or could be something different altogether. I couch up lots of phlegm everyday, about 50 times a day. I’ve more recently had a very dry cough aswell.
