Symptom of herpes??

I haven't had an outbreak since November last year. I can't recall when it started however I've had any itchy patch on my tummy about an inch below my belly button. No skin condition or mark just intermittently extremely itchy. Any ideas?!!!

I recently have had random itching on the front of my left shin, lower left back and right shoulder blade. I itched so bad for no visible reason, I actually broke skin and made myself bleed. This happened while I was having an internal breakout while on my cycle and I am convinced it was causes by herpes. I've seen others talk I'd this too. When my ob healed, those spots stopped itching

I don't have any other symptoms that would cause me to believe I was having an outbreak. Whilst I have this itching shall I presume I'm shedding?

It is best to think in that manner, yes. Better to be safe, rather than sorry. I think that itching from herpes is caused by pur immune system attacking infected peripheral sensory neurons and some damage to the nerves sheathing takes place, causing misfiring of signals to the brain, resulting in itching. The mechanics behind Itching is much more complicated than you think. Some has scientific evidence to back it and some is theory.

Am I best to take some antiviral medication then, it seems it's gone partially back dormant apart from this. Prior to the 2 outbreaks I had in October and novlast year I've had nothing for approx 16 yrs!

I don't see any reason to take it, if you arw not experiencing an ob or trying to protect your partner. That is crazy you've had it that long and had such little symptoms. I am jealous!

How has your luck been w disclosing?
