Symptoms coming back quickly?

Hi there..just got appointment with rheumatologist for about 10 weeks time. Had symptoms for five weeks then for past two days felt better in myself, finger swelling and pain stopped and then today starting to feel worse again and pains in hands starting...is that usual? (bearing in mind i have no diagnosis) but thought even if it was RA then there would be a gap in sumptoms with No symptoms and a good period of time inbetween??

In my experience at the beginning there seems no pattern. However, as the months and years pass the drugs dampen down the worst of the symptoms and you find various triggers in your life that aggravate them. The triggers can be as varied as diet, infection, stress or the weather. The quicker you recognise the aggravations the better you will feel. My triggers are chocolate fudge cake (and other sugary rich pastries) and long periods of inactivity . Good luck and hope you get sorted soon.

The only thing that can be predicted about RA is that the disease is unpredictable. It is different for every person and you never know when you will have good days and bad days. I hope you will feel better.
