Felizcastusi has done a ton of research and has helped out more than u know with the info. I'm glad they are here to shed light on this disease that the doctors don't even know about.one thing I have found being on the forum is that herpes is the same for most people but is totally different at the same for others that the doctors can't explain

I am not a doctor, but as Scarletletter said in her reply, I have read up about this virus extensively. I also have it myself, which is why I immersed myself in the topic.
According to the literature, false positives are uncommon with the swab test. Not impossible, but rare. Therefore, if you tested positive by swab, and have a positive blood test to back this up, it would seem that you are indeed positive. Was it the IgG blood test for herpes? In any case, the swab test typically takes precedence over the blood test.
I have gHSV2 and never got a fever or scabs. Only some people (around half) get a fever and feel ill. Scabs only form on regular skin, not mucosal skin. Most people with HSV2 are never aware they are even infected, because they are asymptomatic or have unrecognised symptoms. It's actually only a minority of carriers that have recognised outbreaks.
