For the past few months, Ive been suffering with what was diagnosed as a yeast infection. I had an STD test which confirmed I was suffering from a yeast infection and once I finished taking medication, I went and got re-examined by my gyno who told me that my infection had cleared up and that everything was well. Basically, I had suffered with vaginal redness and dryness. I had an occasional itch but nothing extreme. I didnt experience with a clumpy discharge.
I questioned whether the vaginal redness was normal and my gyno told me it was most likely irritation from using the steroid cream she had prescribed me.
However weeks later, I still have this redness and no vaginal discharge, at all! I did my own research and came to the conclusion that all the treatment had thrown my PH balance off. I began to use a PH cream, Balance Activ. To my relief it began to work, the redness going and my discharge returning to normal. However, since having sex with my boyfriend the redness and dryness has returned. We've had sex on two separate occasions, both times we used a condom. The first time was fine but the second time seemed to have triggered it again.
Im back suffering with vaginal redness and dryness. Oral sex alone causes my vagina to become very red and swollen. Im worried and Im unsure whats wrong? Have I been reinfected with my Yeast Infection? Please help!!

most likely your boyfriend might have a yeast infevtion (just with no symptoms this is very typical for men) and might have reinfected you. its best to go back to the doctor and get another test and also bring your boyfriend along to so he can possibly also get treatment. i doubt it is any other std as you were positive for yeast in the first place and these symptoms are typical of yeast infections.
