Symptoms in esophagus/throat

In my mid/lower back about a week ago I had this pain in my esophagus that reached to my back and was causing spreading pain, it was like that for about a week until the pain had went away, I've been scared completely since. I have a bad history with googling symptoms and General Anxiety, causing to put myself into a panic.

I saw my doctor about it yesterday and they had said they're gonna raise my Acid Reflux meds since he thought it might be related and wants to see me in a month, for reference I've had alot of weight problems since I was around 9-10 and had Acid reflux since then as well, and now I'm 20 and scared for my life that I could have esophagal cancer. I have problems with nerves alot in my body so I can't exactly tell if it's hard to swallow but I've been having a hoarse voice and that pain that happened last week and since then I've just been scared to death something is happening.

I really just hope it isn't cancer and is my GERD or something small, I saw online that they said if it goes undiagnosed that's how most people die and I'm just panicking that I'll have it and it's gonna be too late if it was found, I really just hate this and with my weight problems, GERD, and how it's been 10 years with them, makes me believe that it's possible and gonna happen, and it is hard to think rationally about it when im constantly having a hoarse voice and had bad pain from the esophagus hitting to my back for that like week.

As for my history with GERD, My food does regurgitate, and had acid kinda going up but not all the way to my throat, and the other typical stuff from it, which is why it's also just hard since I can't tell if it just burned my esophagus or something for a bit and caused the pain I had and it healed now, since that esophagus pain that spread to my back for a week is what started this entire anxiety in the first place.

Sucks to hear your experiences man, especially that its been years already of you dealing with your body issues. i myself is currently in an anxiety phase well because of an atrophy to the lower left side of my tongue and it started to show up at around last month, where i started having some minor muscles aches on my right leg and a deep minor pain on its left joint so of course, me having no idea that it was just one of the effects of the flu vaccine, i started googling about it and just saw a bunch of freaking neurological diseases that are life-threatening but nowadays, i don't feel anything on my leg anymore since its been weeks that has past by the only reason remaining for me having anxiety is because of my tongue atrophy. since then, my anxiety is driving me crazy for almost a month now making me think that i might slur my words everytime that i wanted to speak and some other weird body sensations. as i read everyone else's story about their experiences, i learn more and more about anxiety and its capabilities to destroy a human being whether on the physical, mental, or emotional aspect. still finding some answers as well on my case since i can't even go to a doctor even though i wanted to sooo badly but yeah, reasons. but instead of hyper-focusing into your symptoms, try to put your mind at ease first and do some stuffs that could distract you from it or anything that would entertain you and would give you some fun time while dealing with your own physical/mental health issues. believe me, anxiety will just make the weird symptoms that you are feeling to go worst. good luck, man and stay safe 😃
