Symptoms not getting better

Hey, I was diagnosed with mypothyroidism in March, I was started on levothyroxine 50mg and then 4 month later was put up to 75mg. However, even with this, I am starting to feel worse than when I started treatment, I am suffering from exhaustion quite alot and my depressions symptoms are increasing. I do work a mixture or day and waking night shifts every week which means I am not able to get a decent sleep most of the time. I think taking a week or two off work may help me get rested properly but I don't know if my doctor will give me a sick note becasue of my siutation, any advice please?

    Hey everyone, thanks for all your help, I will look into that facebook page and I may mention that natural one to my GP next time I am there, but my GP is crap, I am changing doctors soon so might try when I am there x

      Good luck with finding a new doctor lucy....everyone seems to be looking...we should prob sack the lot of them!!

      Hi Lucy ,I'm afraid not many of us Thyroid patients have good GP's who know what they are doing with our treatment,Levothyroxine is the thing they prescribe & if that does no good well tough,Learn all you can to help yourself,join a group with like minded people & get armed with the facts to let your GP know that you know what your on about. Good luck, there are people out there who will help you but unfortunately it probably will not be your GxP x.
