Symptoms of Adrenal restart?

I'm having tingling and numbness in arms and legs. Could that be due to adrenals starting to function again? I have been on 6mg medrol and the last week down to 5.5

More likely a sign that the adrenals have not picked up the amount you've recently lowered.  Good reason to hang tight with the taper and proceed with caution.  I've been as low as 1.5 and never ever had this symptom.

Thanks, Anhaga. I know so little about adrenal function, but Ive been unable to correlate those symptoms with anything else. I'm probably just hoping.

It probably is related and I hope I'm wrong and it's not a negative sign, but I'm sure someone with lots more expertise will be along soon.

It isn't something I've ever heard anyone complain of in terms of low dose pred. Neuropathies do that and they can be caused by poor blood flow due to peripheral vascular disease which is a possibility with GCA so if you had something closer to GCA than PMR (if you see what I mean) it is definitely worth getting checked out.

Thank you, Eileen. Always good to hear from you. I will be starting with a new primary care doctor next Wednesday. I'll have a much better idea what sort of thing to discuss with him. I'll also read up on vasculitus.

    Just a thought......

Your symptoms are on the list of low B12. Perhaps check that out with your doctor too.

Have no idea why I said that. Something to do with tingling skin? Sorry, philoso4 - let's forget it. Bad day with memory banks.
