Symptoms of Costochondritis

Hi everyone,

I'm in my 30's and just looking for somewhere to turn to.

3 years ago, I suffered with myocarditis and pericarditis, 2 heart infections after suffering with a cold.

For 6 months after, I then struggled with breathing, speaking and getting around in general.

I have bouts of what they are currently saying is costochondritis every 1 to 5 months, lasting anything from 4 to 8 weeks. I am currently undergoing investigation to find out if it is this or something else.

I just have a few questions to see if anyone else suffers the same.

Does anyone have a trigger that then starts the symptoms?

My voice goes very hoarse and to speak and breath is such a struggle for at least 3 weeks every time, you would think my throat is raging sore but its not sore at all. Does anyone else have this?

What pains do you suffer with?

Do you find that everyday things in life is a struggle - even from getting up from the sofa and getting up the stairs?

I am sorry for the questions, but because no one else I know suffers with this and doctors say my symptoms don't add up, I am just looking for other people with the condition and their experience.

Thank you 😊
