symptoms of RA???

Hello, I recently had carpal tunnel syndrome and also have very lax wrists that pop out of place but now for the past year my feet and knees elbows hands and shoulders are starting to hurt severely I'm starting to be very tired and developed a rash on my right hand my medical doctor prescribe me some medication such as tramodol but its really not helping and i dont want to keep taking it for pain and gave me a steroid shot and is waiting on my results for my arthritis profile i have a 15 month old son and my days are becoming more difficult has anyone else been experiencing these types of symptoms

    Hi. Mine started out like this. I ended up in hospital with severely swollen hands. I finally got seen by rheumatology and was diagnosed with sero negative inflammatory arthritis. Before that I was given tramadol, diclofenac, naproxen but like you I didn't want to keep taking that. Now I have my diagnosis I'm on methotrexate and have had some steroid injections. The steroid injections really will start to reduce the pain and swelling. This will improve the rest of your body as you won't feel as tense. Don't worry if nothing shows up in your blood - I just have inflammation - not the arthritis factor however the physical swelling on my hands etc and the family links have helped prove the diagnosis.

      Thanks a bunch for your story!! My doctor is treating me for arthritis bc of my symptoms so I will take those meds and see if they work. If they dont then he will refer me to a rheumatologist.

    Hi Tara

    Sorry to hear your not well. I have been there extremelly ill. Please read The Road Back Foundation you can google it. I have been on this treatment 6yrs as I became so ill and decided not to have all the conventional drugs it has saved me. Please keep it in mind it may be what works for you.
