I have 7.5cm cyst the last 6 months. My last scan was in March. Have being going to acupuncture and on milk thistle and other herbs to balance my hormones and hopefully get rid of the cyst. I've had nausea and vomiting on and off for 5 months which I thought was due to my gallbladder being removed but now believe it's from the cyst as had breast tenderness as well. The other day I got horrendous pain when going to the toilet which lasted a few minutes and have been feeling unwell since with horrific period type pain and horrendous pressure and getting some pain where the cyst is. Am just wondering if anyone has experience of a cyst rupturing and if so could this be it? Don't want to go to doctor or have it removed am just hoping its ruptured and that this is what's causing the pain. I have had period type pain before but nothing like this. It's horrendous. X

      Hello

This sounds awful. It nay be a twisted cyst - when a cyst moves or twists you gt horrendous pain .You don't say what sort of cyst you have but if you don't want to go to a doctor there isn't much advice to give you.... all I would say is that you are putting yourself in danger as it may well have nothing to do with your cyst. You may be ill in another way and the only way to be sure is to take medical advice.

      Good luck!

Any updates Ace? I too have a 9cm fluid-filled cyst. I haven't had any symptoms? Did you have the cyst removed?

Hi jm I saw a gynaecologist in November who Recommended aspiring the cyst as he felt it was a safer option for me. By the time it was aspired it was 9cm with one large fluid filled cyst with septation and another cyst attached to it bleeding into it. I had nearly a litre of fluid drained and was told there was a 50% chance of it filling up again although the consultant aspiring it said she has only had 2 people come back to her in her 10 years doing it. Sadly I still have the cyst although it's a lot smaller I'm beginning to get bad symptoms again the last few weeks. I'm not due another scan until June but have a feeling the vomiting might start again as waking up with nausea again. It's a nightmare. I'm going to a functional medicine clinic next week out of desperation to have saliva and hair testing to see if I am deficient in any minerals or hormones that may be causing this. I did find out that low progesterone is usually the cause of cysts and got my GP to check mine and sure enough it was low but I don't want to take any hormone meds. You could try milk thistle to detox any excess hormones in your liver or agnus castus. I haven't tried agnus castus yet but have tried lots of things but it just won't shift. If yours is fluid filled they may be able to aspire it. I suspect the reason mine didn't go is because it was there so long and developed into 2 cysts which is trickier to get rid of. Thankfully it's just one cyst now. I wouldn't leave it too long in case it changes like mine did. Good luck
