Symptoms returned with femoston 2/10

I had been in Peri since I was 40 and the symptoms were gradually getting worse, so I decided to go on hrt in February this year and dr started me with femoston 1-10 which showed no change after 3 months. I started to suffer bladder problems with blood in my urine and dryness so it was decided to put me on 2/10, which worked for about the first 2 months. Femonston 2/10 has now stopped working altogether and all my symptoms are gradually returning including my hair loss, anxiety, aches and pains to name a few and also I have these outburst were I feel like I'm going mad. Has anyone experienced this!

    Hi Barbara

Sorry your going through such rough time. I do empathise with you having started Peri symptoms at 45.  I have been on HRT since Feb 18 and have been tweaking to help with symptoms (currently on Estrogel and Utrogestan). It would be worthwhile you getting refered to a dedicated Menopause Clinc (Im in the UK was referred to Chelsea and Westminster hosptial). Alongside my hrt I take, magnesium (joint pain) Vitamin D, magnolia and Vit E and staflower (for periods of anixety). Iike you I have tremdous thining and dry breakage to my hair suffering hairloss so about 2 weeks ago I started with liquid Biotin for support.  Alongside my hrt I have now been prescribed testostrone gel that is supposed to support mood and fatigue ( It can take 4 months to build into the body). Its scary when you feel your losing control  I have been there. Please do persue getting more help and do try some extra supplements. We do you live ?

Hi Elaine, thank you for your reply I started peri when I was 40 and I'm 45 now, I will certainly try some supplements that you have suggested. What is magnolia? I haven't heard of it. I'm going to my Drs again this week to see if they can help as the hrt has just stopped working. In answer to your question I live in Liverpool.

We all here to support one another. Managolia Rodhia is herbal supplement that really does help calm and ease anixety. Many different ones on the market maybe start first at Holland an Barrett. Also there's a fantastic menopause support (closed) group for us ladies to share. Happy to PM you.

Hi Trish it's just awful how this just controls are lives, and the way we do things. I thought the menopause was about hot flushes but it's really opened my eyes how much suffering us women actually go through.
