Tachycardia constantly?

Posted , 7 users are following.

I suffer with health anxiety, mainly worrying about my heart. Lately I've realised I could be sitting doing nothing and my heart will race, or when I'm doing light activities it'll race as if I'm doing something strenuous. I was wondering if anyone else with constant anxiety also is tachycardic a lot? It would be nice to know others have this symptom and I'm not alone as it makes me feel once again like I have a heart issue.

Your def not alone. I can be sitting watching tv and for no reason my heart will start racing and skipping beats. It's so normal for this to happen to anxiety sufferers. It's just your sub conscious mind reminding you that your anxiety hasn't gone away. So best thing is to ignore it. My hearts also races after I've had a lot to eat. But I don't let it bother me.

I have been experiencing this recently as a side effect of chest pain! It sucks it feels like a small panic attack I seem to get it whilst lying down more often than standing up and I feel the need to jump up?

Yeah it happens when I'm lying down too, sometimes it gets to the point that I feel I'm being suffocated and I absolutely have to get up. It's awful!

I have only been getting it since I got costo, I don't have anxiety or these small sort of panic attacks before! This sucks sad You having any chest pains?

Yup, all the time sad and they're not always the same either. Sometimes they're dull, sometimes sharp. Sometimes in the centre of my chest, just the left side, just the right side and sometimes all over. I've had multiple tests done to rule out medical issues but that isn't gonna help relieve the pain sad

I get them a lot I had 3 lots of skipped beats in a few minutes last night and that was it I was crying saying I was going to die and I noticed I hadn't drank much all day so had a big drink and have drank more today and I haven't noticed any as of yet. I do get them when I'm anxious or even happy and laughing. We may have more sensitivity towards adrenaline and that's why we feel them, I've had tests they say I'm fine, it's hard to believe I know I'm terrified but we're still here aren't we? Maybe try a beta blocker x

I know what you mean, like I've had this problem for a while now and if it was something bad, I'd probably be quite unwell right now. I'll look into the beta blocker though, never thought of that smile

Omg this is exactly me!! I can just be doing my dishes and my heart rate sky rockets to over 100bpm, even just walking to another room in the house it can sky rocket, watching TV it can be in the high 90s, I am also very scared I have a heart problem but nothing has been found I have been given beta blockers (propranolol) which I must say help a lot! Xx

I know it's so scary! I'm definitely going to try and get a beta blocker, hopefully they'll help.

I hope they do work for you it makes a difference to your head when the symptoms are under control if you know what I mean xxx

Yeah definitely, if the symptoms are under control I won't be convinced something serious is wrong xxx

Same here, I've been worrying about my heart for two months now because it races at the most random times, even when I'm completely relaxed. It also comes with chest pains or shortness of breath (yet I do have asthma). It's the scariest feeling ever!
