Tailbone pain help

Hi everyone, I started having pain in my tailbone about 7 months ago, it went away after 2 or 3 months and now it's back.. I feel these sharp pinches right below my buttcheek, more frequently on the left side sometimes on the right. Today it started shooting down my leg and I also felt pins and needles. I noticed that my tailbone is tender to touch.

Should I be concerned ? I Google my symptoms and fell down the cancer, als and ms rabbit holes. Now I'm freaking out.

I haven't been checked by a doctor yet because the pain was never that intense, ( I don't tolerate pain very well) now i think iI should go but I'm terrified I may be dying... I'm 27, female, never had kids, and I mostly sit behind a desk all day (which I've been doing for years )

sounds like sciatica a pinched nerve. ask for xRay to confirm what issue may be causing pain.

in the mean time no lifting twisting turning. wear a soft elastic back support treat with heat and most importantly sleep on your back every night. this is the most important part to reduce the risk of more damage allowing the back to heal . ask for a trip to a chiropractor or massage and help realign the joints causing pain.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm booking an appointment tomorrow, hopefully they will be able to check me soon. I should be seen by a neurologist, right ?
