Taking 2 antidepressants for anxiety, feedback wanted

Hi, I've been suffering from anxiety for years but due to a series of traumatic experiences over the last 4 years I started taking mitarzapine 45mg, my anxiety has got really bad lately and I feel like I'm going crazy every day, I'm constantly anxious, life is hellish at the moment. And I can't be like this anymore as I'm a single mum of a 4 year old. So my psychiatrist has suggested taking duloxetine on top. So I'd be on 2 antidepressants, anyone else is on 2? What's your experience? How easy is it to come off the 2nd one? I'm really scared 😦 and don't want to be on 2 meds for life...any feedback is greatly appreciated

there’s nothing wrong with taking two antidepressants if it is helping you.

you have to ask yourself what is worse, having anxiety and feeling absolutely miserable every single day or taking two antidepressants and feeling better?

It doesn’t matter if it’s one or two anti-depressants.

the fact is that there’s a good chance you will feel a lot better taking them.

I’m sure if it’s some point you come off of one, the doctor will tell you exactly how to do that. but as long as you feel better taking them, I wouldn’t stop them no matter how long it is.

My ex mother-in-law takes three different antidepressants and she is completely fine and enjoying her life! she’s been on them for years.take care
