I am.so tired everyday from the morning prozac and bedtime trazadone prescribed for my anxiety and insomina. Was on 20 mg prozac for four months and dr increased it two weeks ago to 40 mg... Zaps my energy during the day but trazadone definitely helps me sleep. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not surprised Thomas! I'm sick of posting it!!!but??? Pills! They load you up, make you a zombie, meaning your quite and don't bother your GP! If your a schizophrenic, or have cicotic syptems? Ok you need meds? But anxiety, stress and depression? no natural ways.

So you give me some natural ways.. I get good sleep, have a good diet and i walk. Sounds like you may know some other ways. Waiting for your reply.

Morning Thomas, firstly walking is good, walking in woodland is better, colour therapy, meditation, diaphragmatic breathing helps, and look up a book called the way of ENERGY! Master Lam Kam Churn. It's all about standing like a tree a really interesting book , I gym a lot, running, producing good chemicals. I'm not saying I feel normal, whatever normal is. But improved, and as I have said before I take CBD HEMP OIL.

I'm not familiar with Trazadone, but it's defined as an anti-depressant and sleep aid of the SARI (Serotonin Antagonist and Reuptake Inhibitor) type of medication. As a general rule I don't think anyone should rely on medical sleep aids. Once in awhile is fine, if you are experiencing excess anxiety and need something to help you relax. But not every night, you become 'addicted'.

I have .25 mg Xanax prescribed for those nights when I need it, but I take it only 1-2 a week lately. Trying to wean myself off of them-was using them during a major anxiety episode a few months back.

Does the Prozac alone handle your depression and/or anxiety?

Thanks for your input..just got it upped to 40 mg prozac 2 weeks ago so. I cant tell a huge difference yet. I also have a limited prescription of xanax for anxiety. 0.5mg and it definitely helps but dont take everyday although I know it would help if i did but also know they are addictive.. My dr is very judicious in dispensing xanax
