Has anyone encountered a serious bladderbweakness after taking Mirtazapine before going to bed at night. I don't have a problem normally and in fact on New Years eve was out for a lengthy meal and drank a litre of Shleor and didn't need the toilet til I got home after Midnight. When home I took my tablet when home and had the usual urgency within a quarter of an hour.I don't go off to sleep very quickly but I find that I feel pressure from my mattrass which I never used to do. I am not getting bedsores but it feels as though I am more sensitive to it. On the whole I amba lot happier on the medication than I was so I will tolerate the inconveniece/sensitivity but would be interested to hear if anyone has experienced the same problems as they b are not listed in any leaflet about the medication. Thanks. M

Aha! Finally found someone on this Med combination!

Hi! My psychiatrist has put me on mirtazapine and has mentioned adding on Cymbalta which is similar to venlafaxine. Did you find this fast acting? Any side effects?

Ps, I take mirtazapine at night and, as yet, no bladder problems, in fact, I don't feel any different

I find that the combination of the two drugs has put me back together. I am in my 70s and hadn't had a problem of depression since my 20s when I had a similar kind of episode which took about 2 years to get better. Then there weren't many antidepressants. My psychiatrist seems to think I will have to be on them for a minimum of 2 years which I mustbsay doesn't bother me. I have enjoyed this Christmas and New Year with family and felt much more in control of my emotions despite having a bad ankle which has slowed me down. I hope that you will find the combination you are being put onbworksvasvwell for you. I must say as soon as Ibwent on the Venlafaxine I felt a different person. The Mirtazapine alone wasn't doing it for me. Maggie
