Taking biologics after having breast cancer

Took biologics for 11 years before having breast cancer. Now reumatologist wants me to try Orencia. Concerned about cancer recurrence.

Hi really pleased your over the breast cancer , not sure if there is any evidence linking rheumatism drugs to any cancers however ? Can't say I've ever read anything on it , have you ?

I've been concerned about the cancer warnings before starting a biological....it has to do with the blocking of the tumor necrosis factor with these type meds. I would look very closely at the risk, I found a study that said Orencia did NOT have an increased risk, but looking further I found it was sponsored by a drug company. There are many factors to consider try and have a really specific conversation with your Dr.
