Taking Bisoprol for 6yrs after bypass surgery and have constant depression

    This is one of the side effects I had whilst taking bisoprolol..there were many others. Extreme tiredness...needing to sleep during the day, weakness in legs..like walking in treacle, backache, weight gain and brain fog. I’m off the betablockers now...side effects gone except for backache. I think this may be a posture problem because of increased weight . I was taking bisoprolol for 5 years, then changed to atenolol...same side effects. I’m just taking rampril...low dose and rivaroxiban..anti- coagulant. Hope this helps.

    Yes, those are usual psychological side effects of Bisoprolol.

    But since you don't have the other option due to a bypass, you will have to take Bisoprolol.

    Unless if your doctor says that you can try some similar drug with slightly different side effects.

    Ask your doctor if there is some other option.
