Taking Cymbalta but also prescribed Zofran at a high dose. Worried about Serotonin Syndrome

Posted , 1 user is following.

I take 30mg of Cymbalta daily, the SNRI. I have just finished a course of chemotherapy and I am supposed to take 8mg Zofran 3x a day and sometimes in the past (before I took cymbalta) I had to take 4x zofran a day. It really helps with my ongoing nausea. However, I have read that both zofran and cymbalta can cause serotonin syndrome individually and I imagine that together there will be even more of a risk.

Anyone with experience of this. Is there a dosage of zofran that it is safe to take alongside 30mg cymbalta?
