Taking Imodium regularly - Is that not good?

Is there any issue with this? I try not to take it if I can help it but it does help a lot.... Im wary of the fact that I'd probably take one every day. Sometimes I have no choice or I wouldnt be able to go to work/go anywhere.

My issues are mainly diarhoea with little pain and no constipation.

Is there any reason why one imodium a day would be bad?

    Fine to take them every day. We even tell the patients at work to do it if needed

    i had my 5th colonoscopy in about 25 years and this time the surgeon astounded me by authorising me to take 4 imodium,4 times a day,yeah, that's right,16 a day for the rest of my life if i need them,my gp wasn't overly impressed but i guess i trust a surgeon over a gp
