Taking meds for acid reflux, should I be fine?

I'm taking omeprazole recommended by my ENT doctor to only take the pill once everyday before morning meal and I'm on day 8 of taking the medication and the symptoms I'm having is really making me having a panic attack. I'm normally always healthy when I get blood test done and to hear my results few days after, but it has been three days now since I been having diarrhea and stomach pains. I know it's a common side effect, but I noticed this morning that one of my stools looked black and I google searched what it means or if the medicine can cause it and they mentioned a infection diarrhea and now I'm really scared about my health now and not sure if I should stop taking it now. I would call my doctor, but the office is closed today and should be open tomorrow. Should I be concerned or only if something really worst happens? Not sure if I should stop taking the medicine now.

you could call your doctor first thing in the morning when they open and tell them about your symptoms.find out if they want you to continue the medication. hope you feel better

Omeprazole and Nexium made my anxiety much worse. Pepcid Ac Maximum strength is the only thing that works for me. One per day for me 20 minutes before biggest meal does the trick.
