    Hi All,

Well, after suffering with cervical stenosis with cervical spondylosis with myolepathy for several years now I was told on Friday 3rd March that a mole biopsy has turned out to be"malignant melanoma". Funny, but suddenly my c/s etc. doesn't seem so bad. An even larger slice of my forearm was taken to try to catch it early, hope that does the trick otherwise I can see troubles ahead. Does anyone know, if they ever amputate limbs to save the rest of the body, I think I already know the answer!!!!

    Hiya

I've got C/S ,affecting ,c4, c5 &c6 , I've had symptoms since my mid 20's but was finally referred to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon who basically diagnosed me from how I was standing, MRI

scans confirmed this , anyway once properly diagnosed, as my own GPS were treating me for Tendonitis in my shoulder!!

I have been through endless medications starting on

co_codamol, tramadol, athrotec??, then I started on gabapentin, started on the lowest dose and now on the maximum, also low

dose of amitriptyline, I now take Sevradol, 30mg a day , this is the fast acting one, and I also take 60mg, MST Continus, 30mgs

    AM and 30mg at night,

I have on occasion been late taking my meds more often the not the nite dose and believe me the withdrawal affects can come on quickly, feeling cold and clammy or sweats and heat waves

through my body, this is not pleasant but as soon as I take my

dose and cuddle into bed , I quickly feel better, Yes morphine is

addictive, but so is a lot of things, but as a Doctor once

said to me as I was terrified of becoming dependant, he told me

There is a difference in taking a medication to get a ''high'' and

need for that feeling, to taking a medication for pain , I am never

100% pain free but I am able to manage at this time , but you

have to make that decision on your health and wellbeing x
