Tapering from prednisone

I started on 20 mg of prednisone one year ago. i tapered okay until i got to 10.5 mg for 13 days but felt horrible, shaky,hot sweaty and lots of anxiety. I thought maybe it was withdrawal symptoms so as of yesterday i went back up to 11 mg. which i will stay until i feel better. something weird is when i get those symptoms i will put a little pinch of salt on my tongue and everything calms down.

oh i am taking prednisone for PMR which is an autoimmune disorder. All these symptoms start about 6-8 hours after i have taken my prednisone.

my A1C came back i am pre diabetic but that has been that was for awhile.

This is so exhausting has anyone experienced this ?
