Tapering off low dose Metoprolol

Posted , 1 user is following.

Im 29. No previous heart problems. Ive been on a low dose of metoprolol for 2 months due to a high heart rate(165-170) I had while sick with COVID but Im better now. Saw a cardiologist just to be safe and EKG/Echo came out normal. I was told COVID could cause temporary heart issues that usually go away after. I started having side effects from metoprolol and asked my doctor to help me taper since my heart rate and pressure has been great. I take 25mg daily and was told to take half(12.5) daily for 7 days then stop. Im on day 1 and a little worried about withdraw symptoms, how did it go for ya'll? Those who are on small dose beta blockers. Thank you
