tapering off zopiclone

hello all, i am currently on 7.5mg zopiclone a night my gp halfed this with out assisting with tapering , worried! i have an appointment this afternoon to discuss this i have written everything down as dont have a printer hope this will be fine? . could anyone please tell me do i have a right to be referred to a specialist in helping people taper off? then i can do it the right way ..help xxx

    I could not cut back as it gave me anxiety and could it sleep. I had to take ore I order to sleep. There is a mild anti depressant that dissolves on your tongue that gas a sedation effect . Ask your doctor for Mirtazapine 15mg take before bed and stop the zoplicone.

    Use Mirtazaopine for a week or 2 and then cut back. Only side effect is grogginess in morning

    Doctors are clueless when it comes to tapering off medication unfortunately, they just don't care. So I'd suggest that you leave it up to you to do what's best and taper it yourself nice and slowly. They'll most likely just try to taper you off really quickly. Tapering 5% every two weeks is the safest way as it helps eliminate the withdrawal symptoms. Hope all the best for you in your process.
