Tapering Oxazepam help please

Is there a tapering schedule for Oxazepam.
I've just been through 5 months of terrible side effects and withdrawals switching ADs and had to use this to cope I've cut down to 15 mg from 30 but don't want to cop another load of symptoms by cutting down too fast.
Thanking you for your help

Very sorry to hear off the problem you are having Gina. There are ways. It just needs to be done as slowly as possible. The body doesn't like having things taken away...even if poison. Surely the tablet size can be reduced so you can tailor your dose closer. I feel for you.

Thank you very much Julian,
I have been cutting the tablets down into 3/4, then 1/2 but I think going to a 1/4 will be too big a drop. I've been trying to cut it down to 1/3 but this is difficult with obviously quite drastic differences in mg's in the peices. I think I'll do what you sugest and ask the Doc on Monday when I see him for a lower dosage of tablet to work with.
I am probably not doing this at a good time as we are still juggling AD's because of side effects but I worry about getting addicted to Oxazepram. I usually just use it for panic attacks not continuously like this..
Cheers,
Gina

Thank you very much Reg.
I wondered what was happening when I checked today and saw it had been 15 hours since you posted. It seems stange if your waiting on valuable information, to keep it tied up for so long.
I will check on the Ashton's Manual. Thank you so much for getting back to me and persisting. It makes it so much easier if you have some quality info to go on.
Cheers,
Gina
