hello, i did the taper from cit to ven 6 months ago. each taper is done differently according to who you see. you can actually stop ven, and start cit next day. there are lots of different variations, seems like drs have different opinions. my taper was far too long, and i got even more depressed, as the level of antidepressant i was getting during the taper was too low for too long. i would say follow your drs advice, sounds a safe compromise, especially as you can stop one, and start the other next day. i mention the stop start next day, only to put your drs suggestion into perspective.

you dont need to take the beads out, thats if you are slowly coming off ven, and going completely anti depressant free. i take it you are switching from ven to paroxteine, so you arent coming off anti depressants alltogether, you are changing meds. your doses are relatively small, so your doctors advice is fine. taking beads out is for coming of anti depressants completely, where you do it very slowly.
