TAR in May 2020

I had the Infinity TAR two wks ago 14 weeks after major foot deformity repair with 6 screws and a plate with Achilles Tendon repair/lengtheninng. Overall I"m progressing well. A couple of my incisions from February are not yet healed - which is a bit concerning. At this point I"m on cast #8 since February after a trip to ER on a Sunday yesterday to get a cast change due to nerve pain and pressure. The nerve pain is new and learning how to better manage it, frequent position changes, ice under knee, elevation "toes to nose" as much as possible. I would like feedback on how others managed the nerve pain post op.

I was fortunate in not having any nerve pain so cannot help there, but I found that the higher that I elevated my foot the better and aimed to have it higher than my heart. Introducing cold air down to the ankle and using iced stretch bandages later on helped. I also found that the stretch stockings were a great help.
Best of luck, Richard

Thanks for your help! Encouraging to hear how you got through. What are ice stretched bandages and where do you get them?
