TB Meningitis - Latent TB

My wife had meningitis back in December 2017, at first they thought viral meningitis but after many tests, scans, x-rays, mri's etc she had a biopsy on her neck lymph node which showed a bacterial infection which is common to TB family.

Since the diagnosis of the TB (not 100% confirmed as no positive tb test from culture), she has been on the TB treatment which has rifater, ethambutol, pantoprazol, pyrodoxine and steroids. She has also been on numerous types of eye drops for infection her left eye which included steroid drops.

My was eventually weaned of the oral steroids but over the last few weeks she has got worse with sores on her lowers legs and feet which makes it painful for her to walk. Her lymph nodes are all very painful too.

The consultants do not want to put her back on the steroids as it slow down recovery as the immune system needs to be able to fight it off by itself rather than with the help of steroids.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has been in a similar position and if they can recommend any extra kind of treatment that will help. I have read about boosting the immune system by what you eat but was wondering if anyone had used any kind of supplements to help. I have started her on turmeric/curcumin as I know that helps but was thinking if there is anything else.

Thanks

Put her on plant based diet.Lots of greens. vegetables, fruits for now. Use high doses of enzymes, probiotics. Liquid vitamins, emphasize B complex vitamins. Go on internet. Ask "how to heal digestive system using natural methods." Decrease/stop use of pharmaceuticals. Continue natural anti-inflammatory, turmeric!
