    Hi Rich,

Tea Tree cream occasionally can cause an allergic dermatitis reaction, (redness swelling, itching) especially if the vesicle-blisters open. When you break the blisters, the fluid is contagious to those individuals who have not had chickenpox. It also leaves you more prone to a secondary bacterial infection and scarring. It would be up to you whether to use it.

Cool compresses or ice help numb the pain.

    Best Wishes

Tea tree is a anti virtual. I use it all the time and does help. Only use on areas with no open blisters raw skin. Use antiseptic cream to help keep open sores clean . Then cover with a negative pressure bandage. See online. Helps heal faster.

Sorry you have shingles. Be sure to get the new vaccine for shingles as soon as the the out break have healed. This will protect from further outbreaks in duration and amount of outbreak will be much smaller.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you mean. Where do I apply the cream? I have unpopped blisters, rash areas, older popped scabbing areas and clean skin. It's going to be hard to selectively apply it. Unless I put on clear skin only. Does it stop the spread?

Apply over scabs skin. Be sure to use clean applicator each time. Do not use fingers as there is a natural virals on our skin which could infect the rash. See the negative pressure bandage online.

Did you go to the MD.

    you must do that immediately.

i don’t think the tea will spread the virus but it will not stop it.
