Has anyone had any luck with tea tree oil for genital herpes? How do you apply it and how often?

Yes I have. And my boyfriend. We put it on whenever we have an outbreak (about 2 or 3 tones a day) amd they clear up within 2 days. It's amazing stuff. Would definitely recommend

      Does it hurt ??

Any pain when you put it on there ? I remember I use to put that on my piercings to prevent any infection ...

Or if there was an infection that managed to clear it up really quickly .. I was just nervous and scared to put that inside of my vagina due to the unknown chemicals that were in there

I love tea tree oil! Don't think it really speeds up healing, but it is antiseptic, soothing and relieves itching. However, I recently broke out in an ugly rash on my vulva (looks worse than herpes ever did!). Gyno says it's eczema and that it could be due to the tea tree oil, which apparently can be an allergen. Not sure if I can ever use it down there again now, as once allergic, always allergic. sad

It does sting a bit yes. And for a littel while after you pit it on. But it is SO worth it. For me and my boyfriend it's has and does speed up the healing, obviously other people may be different though. But I would definitely give it a go. It's AMAZING stuff in my opinion

I think it's amazing, too, which is why I'm sad if I'm now allergic to it. It was the only thing I was using to help with herpes and itching, so this really sucks. It didn't even really burn for me. I'm currently testing a patch on my inner elbow to see if I react. Hoping it's not the tea tree oil!
