Teeth Grinding

Apart from vivid dreams and night sweats, I have also started grinding my teeth since starting Sertraline. Are there others out there who do it too?

I also have vivid dreams, and night sweats, but no teeth grinding (that i am aware of) - i have been on Sert since April, currently 75mg daily.
I believe these are fairly common side effects?

Hi Mike,
I grind too, but that is not knew for me. I don't know why the med would make you start grinding. If you are grinding whilst you sleep it is usually caused from stress. I have severe TMJ caused by decades of grinding and clinching. It is interesting that I have way less stress in my life and S has made my life happy and joyful again, yet I still grind and clinch whilst sleeping. Try to deal with the stress before you find your grinding to be a lifestyle. Best luck,
kat

Hi Kat,
I only started grinding after taking S, and in fact the product information leaflet here in the UK lists grinding as a possible side-effect. I showed it to my dentist, and he asked if he could keep it to review whether any of his other patients have the same problem.
