Teeth problems horrendous pain lump on gum

Hello, I had my tooth removed in November of 2021, I had issues with pain and infections because of it so the dentist advised me that the area has never healed it self properly and that I would need to see a surgeon at the hospital, Its really knocked me about and I'm constantly in pain and have infections in the area, it's messed up my sinuses and I'm really struggling with the pain😪.

I've had this lump (see attached photo)

That started out like a peak of white for a week weeks now and now it's like This...

I'm quite concerned about the lump and the tooth behind the lump area is being extracted on Thursday, any advice would be appreciated. image
