Hi all,

My mobile rang at1.30 to say where are you? You should be having your pre-op today and should be here in clinic! They said they had sent me a letter - well I never received it! Anyway just been had it all done, bloods, ECG, blood pressure. MRSA tests back from last - all good. Spoke to the anesthetist and I will be having a spinal plus general. Asked how long will I be in hopsital - because its a longer recovery time, its normally around 3 days. however they say it may be 5 - 7 days, all depends on how you do afterwards!. Can't say if I will be full weight bearing - this again will only b efound out once Mr Maguire is in doing the operation! YIPEE!! bring it on.

My local hospital requires me to telephone to confirm I've even received the letter for a check-up. You'd think for an important appointment they'd confirm with a call too.

Oh well, at least it all went ahead and you did not have any time to worry about it, maybe they will do the same for the operation !!!

Mark, they always ring before any appointments,  I told this to the girl on arrival she said they don't do that in their department! Pre op assessment clinic I went to.

      thanks Tracy

Glad their thinking optimistically after removing a huge chunk of bone, making a whole new hip socket that iv never had, giving me a new hip and physically moving my hips 5cm down but hey atleast they cant wait to chuck me out haha 😂 xxx
