Telmisartan

Since recently taking Telmisartan for high BP I have experienced cold hands & feet.  Cold temps have never previously bothered me but now I can feel cold & feel the need to put the heating on.  Has anyone else experienced this while on high BP medication?

    Hi BTJ...I having taking this since November. 40 mg. of Telmisartan and so far I havent experienced anything. Maybe because we are in a tropical country and it is hot most of the time...we had a heat wave upto 40 degrees. But no, I havent experienced anything..though it is a headache to take it every day, but I have no choice. my BP is hereditary.

    ps I hear this is one of the best BP tabs without any significant side effects

    You might need to have your thyroid levels checked. It regulates temp. along with many other things. Cold hands/ feet are two of the things I had. Turned out to be my thyroid. Good luck.
