Does the doctor have any other suggestions as to what might be causing the pain? There are so many possible causes, most of which can be treated. Migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, are two possibilities which spring to mind.

no not really migraine was suggested but the medication i have has stopped working for that

Have a look at the symptoms for trigeminal neuralgia. Apparently it can cause some jaw discomfort.

If your doctor is being no help you should be referred to a specialist because you should not have to live with debilitating pain. You do need a diagnosis so you get the correct treatment.

If you have any visual problems please go to the emergency department. However at your age the chances of GCA are very low. There is a related illness, takayasu's arteritis, which does afflict younger people but I don't know if it would cause the symptoms you describe. Worth looking up perhaps?

Good luck. And do keep in touch, let us know how you get on.

Did you tell the doctor? You could have concussion, not a serious one probably but you do need to look after yourself.

The takayasu's arteritis is very rare. Don't get all hypochondriac, but if you do have some of the symptoms you can at least impress your doctor with your knowledge!
