Tena Lady Pads

Diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis 6 months ago. I use Clob and Dermovate and Betnovate and it seems to be sorting out the flare ups, but in the last few weeks I have noticed a worsening of my bladder weakness (not sure if this is related to anything) and all of the pant liners I have tried irritate and increase the itching. Has anyone any ideas which product to use. Thank you xx

Hi Teresa I use Tens pads and find them good. I did contact them and was assured that they do not contain any had ful products, I can't remember the chemicals specifically, but if I went back through my emails I could find out.

I use Poise pads and I really like them. I googled what they are made of.

"Pouch Wrapper - Helps Keep Product Fresh & Clean. POISE® Pads and Liners are not made with Fragrance or Natural Rubber Latex. We do not use chlorine bleaching for pulps used in our products. Instead we use a process called Elemental chlorine-free bleaching which does not create dioxins during the bleaching process"

Always doesn't contain harmful chemicals either.

Yes. I buy only 100 cotton pany liners. They are called Organ yC and they do not cause irritation. That being said, I always change them at least every 2 hours. And when I get home, I take them off completely. The vulva needs time for lots of air circulation. You may also want to consider talking to a Physical Therapist who specializes in pelvic issues. Maybe pelvic muscle issues are causing bladder weakness. Best wishes

    Hi Teresa

has your Dr said why you are having bladder weakness?

About a week after starting Betnovate, I started experiencing urgency and frequency and some incontinence and Dr said my urethra had gone into spasm. She prescribed an oestrogen pessary and cream ( oestriol) and it sorted out my symptoms within a week. When I next saw the Dr treating my LS she said that women often experience these symptoms if they used the steroids around the area of the urethra. I am post menapause.
