Tender spot under left ribs

has anyone experienced tenderness on left side under ribs ? I noticed a tender spot under my ribs at the start of my PMR journey but it comes and goes so didn't think much of it at the time and severe PMR pain seemed to take over everything else however it seems to have returned. Any thoughts welcome x

I find I get assorted dings all over my body which seem to be related to my activities and exercise increases. For example I thought my left hip would give way and I thought "what's this now?". That day I went to my TaiChi school and that pain went away never yet to return. For bruises and non-PMR tenderness I use arnica oil with some helichrysm oil applied to the skin. Bruises seem to heal quickly that way.

hi Karen, I can relate to your 'what now 'scenario but have adopted Eileen and Margarets mum's 3day rule if it's still there in 3days I'll do something about it haha.......🤗

Ha. I usually wait six months before I go see my GP. Some gps are so dismissive.

Ha, now going to the doctors is a different rule all together (Only when I have to rule 😩 ) but I don't mind booking telephone conversations with him

    Handbrake,

My first indication of a "PMR" problem was pain under my RIGHT ribs.  That was 2.5 years ago.  That pain still exists and sometimes is quite awful.  I also have occassional pain in my sternum (costochondritis I suppose).  No doctor has ever been able to tell me why these pains exist.  It might be myofacia pain syndrome, but there are no doctors in this area which specialize it, so I have never chased it.

I also developed the classic PMR symptoms, and had elevated inflammatory markers which led to the eventual PMR diagnosis.

I started on high 60 MG of prednisone and am now down to 7, and managing quite well.  But that pain under the RIGHT rib is still there as it has always been.

    Who knows?
