Tender stomach

Hi I have suffered with acid reflux for about 20 years. Learnt how to control it most of the time plus I’m on meds for it. Having a flare up now went to hospital Friday and they changed my meds. It’s that bad at the moment I could just pull the middle of my stomach out, does anyone else get this feeling when they have a flare up. I suffer with health anxiety to so I’m thinking the worst which I know doesn’t help. Any advice or reassurance please x

I understand where your coming from Karen7771. I to am suffering from it as well. You have gotten first settle your stomach down by changing up what your eating until its more manageable aside from taking your meds. For example: I eat oatmeal for my breakfast with water, yogurt as a snack for lunch and steamed veggies for my dinner everyday with ginger tea. If you go with a diet such as that or similar, you may start to feel better in a couple of days. I take pantoprazole 20mg once a day with tums. I've been dealing with GERD for almost 5 years now and its been a real nuisance for me. Especially over the last two weeks. Try to avoid acidic foods like onions, greasy foods like mac and cheese or Chinese food and acidic drinks like Orange Juice, Cranberry juices, etc.
