Tender urethra

I've recently found this forum and feel so encouraged by the help offered. I had a and p prolapse, with perineum repair, and sacrospinos fixation 7 1/2 weeks ago. From 6 weeks ago my urethra felt sensitive and sore, GP did several urine tests - they were clear, I don't have burning or frequency going. I thought it was due to the anterior repair, prob stitches behind but she said no! Has anyone else had this please?

What sort of feeling do you have? May be its due to the catheter I'm wondering.

I took d mannose powder and that cleaned out bladderx

Thanks I will try that, it could be catheter related also feel it's part of the cystocele surgery. Have consultant appointment next Monday, will be one of my list of questions! So many issues that weren't covered in any info sheets, wish I'd found this site weeks ago xx

    Hi Barbara,

similar to me the last time I went to GP thinking I had urine infection, but it was negative.

like you I had no stinging ,but was frequently urinating.took the advice of welsh girl and sent of for d mannose powder but mine was in capsule form.seems to have done the trick.

all the best for a speedy recovery.
