Tenderness lower right abdomen

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi the last few days I have noticed a tender spot in the lower right abdomen, when feeling properly I feel as if there is some sort of lump there. Not sure if it could be some sort of glands or some.sort of hernia or what. I wouldn't say its really painfull just tender to touch/ if i knock it. I get the feeling a hernia would be really painfull. Any ideas ?

May I suggest you go to a GI SPECIALIST ASAP. We on this discussion line cannot give you any true advise, other than having this checked out ASAP. God Bless you and good health to you.

It sounds like a hernia to me .  I've had 6 and they all started like that  You need to get it checked out.  A couple of mine became really painful before I had surgery and you don't want to wait too long in case yours does too

Might well be hernia but when giving an ultrasound was advised the bowel can get tender in that area and gentle massage might relieve. Are you by any chance constipated?

See your dr for sure.   Any new pain that stays needs to be checked.

Hopefully it is just a gland or hormones related. Not knowing your age.

And not to scare anyone but I felt a twinge for ten years.  I was 60.

My small pain left side was kidney cancer. Found by CT scan.

Removed both kidney and the cancer, no treatments all well-

except for recurrent hernias now, due to that surgery.  4 years later I have just had another mesh inguinal hernia repair and signed on here to find out if others have forums on that.  If yours is a hernia, research before surgery.

it seems a lot of us have a lot of problems with this mesh.

So I had an appointment with a nurse yesturday and she told me it's either my appendix or a hernia just told me to keep an eye on it and made me an appointment with the doctor for 4 weeks time. Thought was abit of a strange conclusion having an appointment in 4 weeks time when it could be my appendix.

Demand a CT Scan, MRI now.

If it is your appendix, it is an EMERGENCY. Don't stop until you get one ASAP. My Brother died from burst Appendix. This is serious

I've just got back from an appointment with my Dr and he's put me on strong antibiotics for a urine infection and to possibly stop any infection (if there is one) spreading to my right kidney. Urine sample is being sent to the labs to be checked. As I'm not screaming out in pain whilst he examines my stomach he doesn't think it's my appendix. Whereas the nurse yesturday seemed to think my appendix could be inflamed. He also did say just incase if i do get any worse in the next 24-48 hours to go straight back. Feel like I've been told 2 complete different stories here so a little confused

Sounds pretty much what I'm experiencing.

Waiting on blood work and results from CT.

Lump seems to be enlarging and not feeling great.

Best when in recliner and lieing downsmile

No energy And a little nauseous no appetite .

Can feel bulge with a bm and coughing sneezing.

Usually active at age 63 and watch a 3 yr old grandchild regularlysmile but can not lift hardly anything .

Wanting it better soon and also have dealt with leg vein issues a yr or so ago on other side. Not sure why I think this could be an issue causing troubles too.

Thankful after reading the many other comments on issue because I had no idea smile but know it can improve with helpsmile

I was very nauseus with no appetite I got told by 2 different nurses that they thought my appendix was inflamed but I'm on 500mg antibiotics for 2 weeks and they said that should sort it out but if my pain gets any worse to go straight back. Been on the antibiotics since Tues and starting to feel abit more normal today and appetite is definately back 😊

Go to a GI SPECIALIST, not a nurse.

Demand a CT SCAN OR MRI.

If your appendix burst, you can die.

Don't waste your time on the Nurses. Most Doctors are not much better.

A GI SPECIALIST. My brother died from burst appendix. This is not something to wait and see. You are in charge of your body. Do not let them intimate you.

I have been around the block and back with nurses and doctors m, who

Should be run out of town. Do some research. It took me almost 2 years to get good Specialists. Good Heath to you
