Tendon rupture

3 years ago I had a tendon repair which failed 6 months later, so I had a tendon reconstruction which consisted of transferring the flexor digitorum Longus to repair the posterior tibial tendon, and calcanenus ( shifting the heel bone ) June 2017 the screws were removed it was touching tissue and possibly other stuff in my foot. It’s been 2 years since the main surgery and my foot has been swollen since the surgery, we figured since removing the screws it would stop the swelling but It didn’t. I’ve done several months of physical therapy to help with pain and swelling but nothing helped not even ice, rest or elevation. I had to take 6 months off of work, my doctor also would like me to take time off since my foot recently started collapsing and I started falling and I’m not sure what to do. My whole foot is swollen, on top and all the way around, and I’m not sure what to do. The specialist I see recently said he may have made a mistake during the surgery so he suggested a MRI, the MRI showed nothing, in fact he said he couldn’t see the tendon and maybe the reason was it was to inflamed. The specialist said he would no longer do surgeries, and would refer me to another specialist in a different town. I’m not sure what’s going on or who to believe, but who am I kidding he’s a doctor he knows best right? I just want to be pain free and be able to walk with out a boot or any kind of assistant I’m only 20 years old.
