Hi, Firstly, I am Not an expert or knowledgeable of these things, but felt it important to give an opinion so you've got at least one reply to your question. It's not one of those easily answered questions which is probably why there are no replies yet. Maybe if I start off the answers, a more experienced person will add their knowledge to the replies. So, when I read through your post, it came as a surprise to learn that Tens is not suitable for patients who've had cancer in the last 5 years. That is the point that I wanted to mention in my reply. It seemed to me, to be a little odd, for something so simple as a Tens machine, should not be used. I have absolutely no idea why that would be. However, my thoughts would be to ask a cancer specialist, like Macmillan, what the reason is and if it is actually safe to use after-all. I am sure they will have come across this question before, if it states that on the label, it shouldn't be used on anyone who's had cancer in the previous 5 years. You certainly posed a difficult question in your post, for the likes of me to see, but there is every likelihood of someone knowing the answer at Macmillan. Hope it goes well, and if you can use it, that it does the job for you.
