I have been dealing with tension n knots in my head neck n shoulders for months now feels like knives stabbing me. To accompany that dizzy , nausea, n ear fullness to boot. I am thinking this is all related to my anxiety n tension in the neck. Does anyone know if these other effects could be bc of muscle tension in head neck n shoulders. Getting concerned. I have very bad health anxiety so my mind runs with these symptoms. Please help ease my worrying

The tight muslces in my face and head are causing TMJ. The TMJ is most likely causing the ear fullness, popping and cracking. I've had the ear issues for 7 1/2 mos. The diagnosed it as ETD and said the cause was allergies. Allergy treatments didn't help. Then they diagnosed food allergies and a candida infection. The diet didn't hep other than making me lose a lot of weight. Long story but a chiropractor did way too much too fast and my muscles went crazy. I was referred to physical therapy for myofascial release or active release technique. She manually breaks up the knots or trigger points. She also uses dry needling to break up the knots. She works on my TMJ, head, neck, shoulders, face. My ear fullness felt better after the first jaw adjustment but it came back 48 hours later. The next two treatments didn't help. Wearing a bite splint for the TMJ does help the ear fullness. I have a lot of stress and anxiety which doesn't help the muscles.

We hold a lot of anxiety and tension in our neck, shoulders and back which can cause all sorts of pains and numbness and can radiate into arms and other areas of our body such as jaw, head and even legs sometimes.
When we get anxious all the muscles tense up as we go into fight or flight mode. Very useful if we are going to fight, not so useful if we are not lol
When we are constantly anxious, we are constantly in fight or flight mode ans therefore our muscles are constantly tense. Having constantly tense muscles whilst going about our day to day life can become very problematic and very painful.
You need to start some relaxation and relax those muscles. I find meditation for anxiety useful which you can find on Youtube. Together with heat pad and pain relief medication. Hope you feel better soon x

I am really interested in what you have been saying. I have had a traumatic year on my body and all things have been going wrong. last year for 8 weeks i had dizziness and migraines and they put it down to ar infection, anyway it went away. But came back in feburary. over the past 3 months i have realised its stress and anxiety from certain events. I have had acupunture 3 days ago and it was horrific. it was terrifying the way it affected my body.
So now my body has tried to reset itself. I have noticed now that everytime i have any sort of rise in blood pressure, stress or excitment I have a huge dizzzy spell. I can feel my scalp tense and i am constantly dizzy, I have not been dizzy free since feburary.
I dont know how to stop the tensing as i am constantly dizzy they arent just spells. but i do have spells when i feel more stressed and its getting me down.

Hello Friend,
A good idea for you is to first understand your tension and why it is happening. I recommend a couple of things for you to get better fast:
